General Permit Conditions


GENERAL PERMIT CONDITIONS, WHICH APPLY UNLESS SPECIFICALLY EXCEPTED HEREIN:

The applicant agrees to pay the application fee and estimated charges upon request, and to pay any additional charges, which may accrue incidental to any use or services provided to the applicant within ten (10) days after receipt of an invoice for said use or services.

No directional or crew signage allowed on public property.

5 feet wide clearance of sidewalk must be maintained at ALL times for ADA compliance, for pedestrian safe passage. UNLESS, Public Works has issued a Street Use Permit for a sidewalk closure to the production company.

Parking of all vehicles and equipment is to be in accordance with the State Vehicle Code and Municipal Codes.

The removal, moving, or towing of the public’s vehicles is prohibited, unless the posted “No Parking” signs have been verified by the Burbank Police Department and have been in place for 24 hours.

No special effects or stunts will be performed other than those specifically indicated herein.

Canopies/Tents must be reviewed by the Burbank Fire Department prior to film date.

Traffic may be stopped for no longer than three (3) minutes at a time, and always will be at the discretion of the Officer.

No equipment shall arrive or set up prior to the start time of the permit.

Company filming in a neighborhood or business district shall notify each merchant or neighbor who is directly affected by the company.

Film Permits are issued for the hours of 7am-l0pm in residential areas. Filming in a residential area beyond normal hours shall require the approval of all residents who would be impacted by filming during the restricted hours.

Violation of the restrictions of this permit, other unauthorized activities, or violation of drug or other laws, may result in the permit being revoked at any time by the assigned Officer or any Police Supervisor.

Officers at the location are NOT to allow street closures, illegal parking or other similar activities unless specifically authorized by this permit.

In the event of a situation at the location, which cannot be resolved between the applicants representative and the assigned officer, the applicant’s representative should contact the BPD film coordinator (238-3105) if during business hours. During other hours call the Watch Commander (238-3130), or request that the officer at the scene have a supervisor respond.

The undersigned, authorized representative for has been granted permission to film in the CITY of BURBANK and/or use City property and facilities as indicated for the purpose of television or motion picture production, and certifies that the above named company will provide workman’s compensation, liability and property damage insurance absolving the CITY of BURBANK of all claims in connection with the requested activity. The approved application and permit constitute a contract or agreement which obligates the permittee to provide general liability insurance to the City through an additional insured endorsement. A representative of the applicant must have a copy of this permit in possession at the location when any personnel or equipment is present.
